It is the right and responsibility of humans to take initiative in what concerns the unequal division of male and female workers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Establishment of gender equity has the potential to stimulate socio-economic growth, and increase the development rate of innovation. The purpose of this website is to ignite your desire to cultivate a fruitful passion, engage in S.T.E.M.-related activities, and deepen your understanding of the society in which we live.

THE IMPORTANCE OF DIVERSITY
There are approximately 2.7 million Canadians working in S.T.E.M. Of these, 22% are women, and 4% are racialized women. Lack of diversity in concerns to race, gender, indigeneity and ability, as shown in a report made by Ryerson University, is an indicator of a future of slow economic growth. In consequence, the industry will be put at a disadvantage in competition with other countries, and therefore lose its drive to enhance innovation.
