As a step in pursuing our greatest passions, we continually search towards exemplar figures in said industry to provide us with certain inspiration and motivation. Take Michelle Obama, who spoke out about the lack of diversity in the STEM field, specifically in concerns to science and technological industries.

"The absence of girls and women in the so-called STEM fields, in turn, has a deletorious effect on the tech industry. I'm very passionate about girls' education, and we still have a long way to go on equality and access. We have to teach young girls they are smart and can compete", said Obama.

 

TED Talks have become a worldwide phenomenon, spreading ideas in concerns to topics we may never have imagined.
